Q: Will there be coffee breaks at FSCI2020?
Yes, these are listed as Fireside Cats and have specific themes (Follow the link to the schedule). You will have to provide your own tea and coffee, but at least you can have espresso! (if you have a machine at home).
Q: Is there a place to meet other FSCI participants?
Yes, come to Fireside Cats! This is a virtual coffee with preset topics.
You can also take advantage of the virtual hallway where you can talk to participants who are attending the same courses as you immediately after class synchronous events.
There are also FSCI Slack channels for attendees.
Q: Where are the classrooms for FSCI2020 courses?
Course hubs are found in OSF. Synchronous course sessions are held via Zoom. You should have received information when you registered. If you don’t have the registration emails, please contact the help desk.
Q: What is the FSCI Twitter handle and hashtag?
The FSCI Twitter account is @force11.rescomm and the hashtags are #FSCI and #FSCI2020
We will be using Slack for all FSCI Communications. Please join slack by clicking on this link here and following the instructions.
After you join, you will be automatically be added to the "general" channel. You may also select additional channels to join by clicking on the plus "+" sign next to the Channel.
Each FSCI2020 Course will have a private channel for the course instructor and students. An invitation will be sent to each student asking them to join their assigned course.
Q: Is there a bulletin board to use to meet up with people?
We will be using Slack App to communicate with people attending FSCI. Please sign on to the FSCI Slack account (see above instructions).
